I need to be in Farlington near Portsmouth on Friday morning at 9am and am trying to find the best route. Should I take the a3 all the way from blackwater or m3 m27. A3 is the faster route but is there more traffic than the m3/m27 on a Friday. If anyone does this trip please let me know.

Thanks.

with the tunnel at Hindhead now, that's one huge bottleneck gone on A3 but the Hogs Back can back right up if that was your route to the A3.

I regularily go from Blackwater to nr Farlington (Rowlands Castle) to see the folks and my route is A30 through Hartley Wintney, left after the Phoenix onto B3016 to Odiham, B3349 to Alton, then B3006 through Selborne to A3.

You could also just hit the A331 down to the Farnham bypass, then the A325 through Bordon and onto the A3 at Longmoor.
