Evening all, The Mr2 hasn't seen much action so it's time to get our arses in gear. We are booking this next week......

Feb 16th at Brands Indy with Clubs MSV - £150 - 105DB Static.

I'd check your car is aloud in mate, it's a road car trackday so cars must not resemble a race car.

Ours just scrapped in because it had a dash, no cut off points etc.
I would give them a ring, I sent pics of ours to them and the spec just to be on the safe side.

Surely they are used the second they are fitted?

I just budget for 2-3 new sets per year, it's easier that way

However at 350 a tyre i'd rather buy a set of used tyres with 3 -4 mm of thread and abuse those !

You need to shop around more - I paid less than that each for my new rears a few weeks ago...

We are all booked up.

A fair bit of work to do before though.

Service
Coolant change / install water temp sensor and gauges

Oil temp gauge
New stickier / wider front tyres to fit.
Give it a shake down
Alignment
Exhaust repairs

All in about 3-4 days that we have spare before the trackday.

Are you going to change the dizzy cap, rotors and spark plugs during the service ?.

Also are you using standard oil filter ? or uprated ?.

Where do you get your service parts from ?

Will give them a once over, if lookin crappy they will be replaced.

Nope large open cone mounted right inside the wing behind the intake hole. Also direct feed with 8inch industrial flexi duct.

Oil from Halfords on their offer of 8L 5-30 fully synth for £20 ! Oil Filter etc will be coming from eBay.
