Hello,

I'm struggling to get hold of a reliable auto electrician for some (probably trivial) bits of wiring need sorting in my mk1(ish) Golf. I think there are earthing issues, and to my untrained eyes I've had a look and found nothing.

I've tried two now who've let me down by either forgetting I'm showing up, needing to leave when I turn up early, turning up 4 hours late when I'm about to go home, or a no show!

I work in Slough and live in Reading, so anywhere near either places is good, or one who comes to you?

Thanks!

Try Andy here:-

http://www.trim-wizard.co.uk/

I used his services on the interior of my LC. Ignore what he does now as hes a trained auto electrician & does most of the electrikery stuff on Wheeler Dealers when Ed doesn't know how to (Andy fixes it for Ed, then unfixes it & then Ed fixes it on camera). Decent bloke too.

I have a good experience with a guy in Croydon, he built me a new loom from scratch on my bike, guy is a bit quirky but he's really good.

I've used Ai Audio on a number of occasions - 'Baj' is the man there (Slough based).

Speak to Ed at RA Engineering, 12 North St Reading, Berkshire RG1 7DA
0118 957 1369. He's a Bosch agent, charges indie rates and is as honest as the day is long.
He sorted out the spaghetti wiring on the Eunos, taking out the cr*p other people had botched up over the years.
They are close to Reading Station so you can arrange to drop it off and then pick up on the way home.
HTH.
Cheers, Pewe.

Another recommendation for Andy of Trim wizard. He used to be a Corrado man so knows his way round vw's well.
