It would appear that mine is knackered frown
NVS have quoted a ridiculous sum to have it removed, refurbed and refitted. Can anyone recommend a local mobile mechanic that will do a good job for a fair price?

Thanks all
I've looked in to doing a DIY refurb job. The removal of the pump seems to require dismantling the entire engine, and is quoted as a 3 hour job for a competent mechanic. In this instance, DIT means "Don't Involve Yourself.

I've found a chap in Essex that seems to do these jobs for a fair price, just waiting to hear of he will travel this far.

Unfortunately, Fils Pajeros link shows that the site is no longer maintained - plus, I can't get the car down to him.

Anyone know a really competent mobile mechanic?

Where abouts in Berks are you?

I know a mobile mechanic who seems to work on anything 4x4 - anything on our Suzuki we aren't confident enough to take on, he does - and very well too.
