Hi I'm looking for recommendations for a mobile tyre fitter who could come to Farnborough, Hants (M3 Junc 4). It's to swap the summer and winter tyres on the Porsche so just removal, fit, balance etc.

Any recommendations and guide to price appreciated!

Thanks

Craig

Ah they say:

I have purchased my tyres already from another company. How much will you charge me to fit them ?

We only fit tyres that we supply. We do not ask anyone else to fit tyres for us and do not fit tyres for anyone else.

First time on my old A5 they damaged 2 wheels. Second time round it took 4 attempts to get the wheel balance right. Shame 'cos they have such a great choice of tyres.

Look after your local independent's and I feel they will do there very best to look after you.

Don't forget they have to have a profit so can't fit your own tyres for nothing, after all someone has to pay the fitters wages, valves and balance weights etc.

Try and call out Event or the like to mend a puncture, don't think they will rush to help.

I run my own tyre shop and have done for over 30 years, we do the job right and have very many happy customers and if you don't do it right and keep customers happt they will not come back.

The BIG boys are trying hard to push the little ones out so if you can give them the chance to price match, I am sure they will if they can.

Sorry I should add we don't offer a mobile service as I can't see how the job can be done well from a van, as many moan about wheel balance and damage to wheel rims etc.

Absolutely, unfortunately no one could get close to the price for the winter tyres I ordered from Pneus.

When they arrive I'll give Als a call - I think I've used them before if they're the ones round the back in fairly grubby shed! At least they seemed to have been fitting tyres for years rather than a couple of months on the modern equivalent of the YTS scheme.
