Snow & Ice must be on the way
Discussion
Well at least the Highways Agency in Surrey must think so. Had the misfortune of having my Saxo VTS smattered with grit from one of the lorries that was running up and down the Blackwater Valley between the M3 r/bouts and The Meadows earlier this afternoon.
I know it's a bit foggy at the moment, and the temps are probably going to drop a bit more towards the weekend, but even the Met Office dont think the temperatures are dropping close to freezing point anytime soon.

It does seem a little premature - i know its supposed to drop to about 3c but not until Friday evening...
It begs the question, what do you do when they normally sit in middle lane of a 3 lane motorway - do you site behind them at 60mph or whince and go for the overtake and end up with grit blasted paint?!
Shouldn't mock, they serve a purpose i suppose.

Probably just a dry run! I know it's a bit foggy at the moment, and the temps are probably going to drop a bit more towards the weekend, but even the Met Office dont think the temperatures are dropping close to freezing point anytime soon.
Bad weather must be on the way...
Judging by the amount of vehicles with defective lights
Rear fogs on for no good reason
Oh not forgeting those drivers who think it a good idea to drive
in poor conditions using just side lights...
Oh I must mention the organ doner bikers who blast up between the lanes
when its pissing down with rain & heavy spray. remember You are the Bodywork.

As counter intuitive as it sounds, its actually safer to ride quickly in rain as it keeps the visor clearer, the last place you want to be is sat in someone's spray, if you leave a big enough gap, some idiot will fill it. So long as you watch what your doing, generally they'll be fine.when its pissing down with rain & heavy spray. remember You are the Bodywork.

Your in lane 1 and the driver of 30 ton truck passes you with a very minimum of space
leaving you close to large twin wheels turning at about 900rpm (which will mash you up without even the mere hint of an obstruction to progress) so the slightest movement or problem with surface water and you have become an organ doner....
How are you going to feel ??
Er pretty mashed up I think.

I thought they were filtering between lanes? If your mashed up, you can no longer be a donor.
Tell you what you drive the truck and see for yourself Had one on the North Circular near Hendon
Sudenly realised that the bus had stopped so gunned it past only the find
no room between two vehicles ..... kock
