Sorry I was late.

Had some good news, Chim should be back on the road this week. Apparently the windscreen trims are now available.

Just hope my water at home is reconnected. Guess I may be a bit smelly by September.....

Great news about the Chim, hope to see you on 5 Sept at POTB -
you can always go for a dip in the sea if the water's not back on!
Should be there on 12th and will see if I can get a few others up too.

Good news about the Chim.

Bad news about my water leak at home. The ground floor of my house needs to be dug up to find the extent of the water damage.

Never mind, not quite my words when I found out.

Please feel free to come along.

It's a very casual meet and all are most welcome. Drive / ride or turn up on foot and meet some like-minded people.

We're a good bunch, honest.

Hi All, won't be able to make this one as i'll be on a High Powered motor launch in the bay of Monaco......

(Narrow boat on the Kennet and Avon Canal for a week with some freinds)

Hopefully you'll be able to soldier on without me. Take comfort in the fact i'll be down at Hayling Island via Basingstoke the weekend before! For the October meet can we go to a pub that's more in the countryside? Just makes the trip there and home a little more fun.... Any suggestions?

Could even go to The Cross in Hook, there was a good Lotus meeting there last month. Big car park overlooking a criket ground. A fair bit of passing traffic (it's on a road that gets a lot of Sunday sports car drivers) and as i remember, 2 course Sunday lunch for £12 or they have Good bar food too. Picknic tables/benches outside too.

Lotus owner landlord running the pub! He has an Elise, Esprit and an Elan

Though this may be a treck for our more southernly participants. It was just a thought

Actually, can't really call it a Guildford meet if it's in an RG postcode and it's 20 mins from the usual pub. Maybe we'll have another meet as well, call it Thames Valley meet or something. Me myself and i, i don't know now. Still want to have a countryside meet up though.
Any ideas?

The Cross is not in hook, its in Yateley (they are about 7 miles apart).

Nice pub though, just down the road from me.

Alright there Billynomates, Welcome to PH's

We'll give a pub meet some serious consideration and see what we come up with. It's gotta be a pub that's fun to drive too, with good and , large carpark out front. Outside seating ideally, so you can sit there looking at the motors and watching them driving past, in and out etc. You do get the odd biker turn up and start popping wheelies on occasion too. Well, they're not that 'odd' really, but entertaining! I just sold my bike so i too am odd

So guys, come on! Name a pub that fits the billing and is easy for people to get to if comin' from Surrey/Berkshire/Thames Valley and Hampshire.
I'm gonna go for a bit of a run with a couple of mates this Saturday, i'll see what possible venue i can find.
