Good PR indeed, glad to see they're not endangering peoples lives unnecessarily! And using their time catching car thieves and oiks vandalising cars. Perhaps nicking those 5hit boxes that pump out loads of oil and smoke and don't have a chance of getting an MOT! Just pi55e5 you off doesn't it!

cr4p... these were up last night as well (20:30), displaying 40.... i was keeping up with the traffic, no sign of any laser traps.... it wasnt a mobile camera was it?!

The best I saw on the M40 was a few weeks ago, just before Jct. 2 it said "M2 J1&2 Closed”

Why on earth would anyone heading west towards Oxford on the M40 care about the fact the police had "operation stack-up" going on the M2 in Dover? Little wonder drivers don't pay a blind bit of notice to them when there is quite clearly a moron at the controls back in HQ!

If there is no red cricle round thew limit on those signs (ie, not like the M25) then the limit is advisory

Yes, 100%. Thats why the M25 ones are colour and have red rings round them, because they ARE Limits. If its just on a orange matrix sign then its only advisory.

Same yesterday, coming up to beconfield, matrix signs say 40 mph and left lane closed carried on for few miles and then the "end" sign, no sign of accidents etc
