Last friday some careless scrote scratched one of my doors in a car park.. no note as i don't think it was actually car on car, and of course people / trollys don't actually have insurance generally. grr.

Anywho.. it's only slight, down to the primer. Can anyone recommend a bodyshop or maybe a personal recommendation for SMART repair in the Farnborough area? There are just loads on Yell.com and i'd prefer a referal tbh.

I guess it should be around the £200ish mark to sort out?

Cheers all smile

By the roandabout at the junction of Red Road and the Maltway Camberly there is a car pound
In there on the left is the workshop, always interesting to see the cars they are doing up.

I'll add PhirmFX in Rushmoor, nr Farnham. Chris the main man there has done all my cars and bikes when needed, the finish is better than a factory paint job IMHO, he mainly specialises in classic cars but also does scratch / dent removal...

Ok guys, been away and am just looking to get this sorted now (contacting people today). Clearly all of the suggestions are bodyshops, that’s cool and I’ve contacted them now awaiting a response...

As per my OP does anyone also have any recommendations for SMART repairers of the same area that they have personally used? I appreciate they are typically all tarred with the same poor brush, but I have anecdotal evidence of some really very good guys too biggrin

Cheers all!

I went to them on a recomendation from here and wasn't that impressed (nothing to do with the quality of the work). They just weren't interested in doing the work for me on my Skoda, I went away with the "Can't be bothered" impression from them.

Thats probably due to the workload they have - they are really good i havent used them personally however based on several recommendations.

I saw Adam a couple months back for some advice on some potential work. He sent me away and said not to bother unless I was desperate to do it and said get the clay bar out and a touch up kit and dark colored polish. I will ask him to quote for the spray and fit for a couple of splitters for my Boxster though. I think he's a pretty honest guy.

I can't +1 this I'm afraid - they made a good job a few years ago on my Ghibli but then last year I took it back for more work and the state the paintwork was in when it was returned was frankly a disgrace, it went back for remedial work and came back machine polished to buggery with holograms and scoring all over large parts of the car. I wouldn't take a £500 shed there, personally.

Maybe they have upped their game, but they made a horrible job on my car last year and the remedial attempt(s) were no better.

Another one to try is Eporsch which used to be Bisley Coachworks. They have only done interior paint for me but I have been pleased with the results, durability and the smooth lacquered finish on what was a textured plastic piece.

interesting, i've sold the car now so may it won't last but the work they didn't wasn't major it was just a scratch down the primer so perhaps i got lucky?

who knows!
