'kinnel. We are near the top of the hill in Hazlemere, but there is a whole estate of houses just above us. Their floodwater just decided to pop up out of the drain in our lawn and run down the whole street's backyards. I'm glad I don't live at the bottom.

P.S. I'm sure I saw a guy go past our backdoor in a kayak - watch out for him coming down the Wye in a few hours.

It's the same story over in Staines. Water erupting from the drains and flooding the streets and guess who left the roof for their Griff at home today.

Managed to get home without killing the car or getting particularly wet but I do have a big bruise on my head where the car in front kicked up a stone (the roads around Heathrow T5 are absolutely covered in debris).

Did my drive home (South Harrow - Wendover) very slowly last night. At Gt Missenden the road was totally flooded for about 50yards and was probably 4-6 inches deep.

Have to say most people were driving very well, at a good speed for the conditions and keeping save distances.

PS - Where did all the water go overnight? It was bone dry this morning!
