Guildford Meet - August
Discussion
Hi.
I have just brought a Lotus Elise but know nothing about them and don't know anyone with a similar car, so was browsing the net for some info and came across this site.....The idea of meeting up with a few other people for a drive sounds great (I am getting a bit bored driving around on my own), but wasn't sure if anyone could join in, whether it was just TVR owners, etc. Can you give me some advice (or if its a elite club you can just tell me to go away and I will!).

Debbie,
The Princess Royal meet attracts both PH car and bike owners - everyone is welcome.
You will also find a more Lotus specific community at www.seloc.org with thriving groups in both Hants and Surrey .....also
www.british-cars.co.uk is a thriving Lotus web community.
Lots of friendly, helpful Lotus owners out there.

Hi Apprentice,
Thanks for the info and the links - will check them out. Will try to come along to the Princess Royal meet if the nerves about turning up to a meet on my own don't get to me beforehand!

I could meet you beforehand if you like...
Would be pretty useful if I could blag a lift off somebody actually because one of my wheels is a bit dodgy!
And I don't know anybody either.
Would be great to meet up beforehand - thanks Happy to give you a lift as well, although will have to head home late afternoon (not sure how long these things go on for...). If thats okay with you then email me your address (email address on my profile - hopefully!).

Whereabouts in Hampshire are you?? There is a run from Basingstoke to Hayling Island in early September it's at the top in Events and Meetings. Apparently the route is excellent for Elises especially in the early part.
You could head over to the Elise board on here too - we're quite friendly really, you too Dave!!
Edit>> On topic, I might be able to make this as Farnham is quite nice run, I'll point some of the South Coast guys at it too.

The Basingstoke to Hayling run:
Pie On the Beach III is on September 5th.
All details will be appearing here as they are finalised.
I can't make this Farnham meet though as Im going up to the SE London meet.
Cuzza, Im leading the TVRCC Hants region up and Im guessing that includes Shnozz and Mark.
So now you have a choice of things to do next weekend!
Curry was good on Friday.
Wasn't so good on Saturday though!
Yeah, Yeah, thank-you K4TRN. Glad i could entertain you all! Still, i hope your gonna clean the 'Dirty Yellow' S2000 before the 5th Sept as it could be a little embarrasing for you otherwise. The more dirt you have the slower you'll go!
Good to meet everyone and also put names to faces , appologies when i meet you all again when i've forgotton your names, i'm crap like that!
