Morning ph, seeing as you guys (and girls) are quite good at spotting cars, I was wondering if you could keep an eye out for a stolen black Renault scenic reg EA52 CLX. It was taken from the Ottershaw/Chertsey area around 5pm yesterday evening.

I know it's nothing exciting, but the family that own it would quite like it back.

If you do see it please can you contact Surrey police, or pm me? However if your following it, the latter may not be your best option?

Thank you in advance

Lee

hope you find it, might be worth sticking it on the wiki in General Gassing to get a bit more coverage

I did see that thread, however it seems to have nice cars on it, and thought adding a scenic would lower the standards!

I don't see any problem with you using that, doesn't matter what type of car it is IMHO

Is there anything on it that makes it easy to identify? Scrapes, stickers etc.? Otherwise a Scenic is a little... anonymous smile

I'm afraid not. I believe there maybe one of those white dealer stickers in the bottom left corner of the rear screen, however, I'm pretty convinced 90% of cars still have those on the rear screens.

Was it stolen with Keys or by other means?

I'm working tonight and will keep an eye out for it, but don't get your hopes up. Its not the usual vehicle that is stolen, so I would suspect it was a get me home vehicle, or a joy rider.

The keys where stolen at some point during the day, then you can see on the cctv from work a man walk up to the car and drive off. Unfortunatly you cannot see him get in it.

Please excuse the ignorance, but if it was taken for a joy ride, then would this not mean its sat somewhere out of fuel?

Thank you for keeping an eye out.

We're out in that area at the moment, there's nothing moving about so if it appears , should be easy to spot

Sorry my mistake. Mind you it was a long time ago I went there for a driving course.

It's still listed on an emergency services website, obviously out of date.
