So with the series premiere on Sunday, what's the consensus?

I must admit I enjoyed it. Yes, it's brought an incredible amount from the UK show including annoying (for me) camera work, the set, the Stig, Big Star Small Car etc. There does seem to be a bit of banter amongst the three presenters which will hopefully grow as the series progresses and they get comfortable with each other.

And the noises of the V10 from the Viper - glorious and brutal but that Murci SV was just divine

Finally the Stig - ? Paul Tracey. It looked his kind of shape and he is doing another car series with Tyler F on the History channel.

P.S. History channel 7pm Sundays

When is it repeated.....I may have to see if Brighthouse do it on demand....?? Is there a star in a reasonably priced car slot on the show??

Not sure about repeats but it's a History channel programme

Star in a reasonably priced car is there and is called "Big Star Small Car", using a small Suzuki, think SX4?. The very first was Buzz Aldrin who was quite entertaining even if the interview was a very puff piece.

Didn't even realise they had made a US version. Just did a Google and you can watch it online:

Carbon copy of the UK show, and to be honest I was really bored of the format in the UK so didn't really enjoy the US show. Lambo's were nice to see and hear though

Well I watched the second episode and to be honest it's the last for me. Zero cameraderie between the presenters. Hugely disappointing

I wondered if it would be a bit like The Office - and have the potential to develop it's own personality - but that is tough for me to reconcile, given the lack of chemistry of the 3 frat-boy presenters - and the horrible, scripted delivery. I sat through episode one and bailed half way through the second one.

I find I actually quite like it. Their studio stuff is still a bit stilted but then the first couple of series of revamped Top Gear were a bit patchy too.

As there has been nothing good on TV of late I have watched a lot of Top Gear on demand.

Overall I think it has improved dramatically over the season and I really like it.

I'm looking forward to the next season already.

Been watching a few lately and, its not too bad when you take into consideration they are trying to copy a winning formula but with American values.
The guy with the glasses and beard seems to be the most genuine (dare I say a Tom Ford), the other two just wish they were Tom Cruise and are after a modelling contract (with nothing really useful or interesting to say).
