I have been tasked with finding out the criteria for getting a student visa.
Thought this may be a good place to start.
Is there a minimum age?
Is it it just intended for college level applicants?
Any other visa types that give one year legal stay, not business ones.
(Yep, I'm in the States, but Americans know far less about US Visas, if only I could speak Russian or Polish and ask on their forums)

If you're going to the US to be an undergraduate or a grad student you'll need an F-1 visa. If you have a PhD and are going to do a postdoc you'll need a J-1 visa.Thought this may be a good place to start.
