Hi all,
Me and my brother are going to Las Vegas in june. We are flying to Las Vegas, staying there for a week then dring to LA for a one or two days then driving to Palm Springs forthe rest of the holiday.

We are looking to hire a vehicle in Las Vegas for the drive, i would be very greatful for anyone opinions on hiring a car and there experiances. I have looked at all the car hirewebsites but was hopingfor peoples personal opinions and also if anyone knows of any lesser known, poss cheaper places to hire.

We are looking for a nice car to travel in, sporty and preferably convertable. I have looked at vehicle such as mustangs and the like.

If anyone has any good surggestions or recommendations please share.

Many thanks

Roo

I've used most of the major rental firms over the years but always get a good deal from carhireagency.com.
I tend to arrange to collect the car from a rental desk at a hotel as opposed to from the airport.
Avoid Dollar.

Rent a car on Expedia.co.uk or auto-europe.co.uk, if you go to the desk in LV you will have all the insurances added on to the price but if you hire through an EU reg company they have to supply you with Insurance some EU law and will save you a st load in the end.

Or if you have a Gold AMEX they do an annual car hire policy (was about £25) and then hire the car in the US on the Amex another way you wont get stung, Then use priceline.com and bid for your car, I just did a 7 day hire through Priceline using Hertz renting a Dodge Charger for $168 and the cheapest i could get from Hertz.com was $431 so a huge saving!

Hope this helps
