Hi Graham,

Santa Monica is worth a visit.
Also I normally drive up to Malibu. There is a restaurant down on the beach.
A drive down Wilshire Boulevard to Rodeo Drive and then into Hollywood, Beverly Hills and onto Sunset Blvd down to Santa Monica is worth a half day.

Good luck,
Tony.

The Queen Mary is just about the best bit of L.A. And, it gets you away from the smog. On a good day you can see the mountains (about three days a year, according to one resident).

(In case you hadn't guessed, I found L.A. a real disappointment. frown )

ETA- If anyone offers you a Breakfast Burrito, no matter the price, club them to death with it.

I'm in LA at the moment - working - although today I've been down to Venice and Santa Monica. Stupidly I forgot my driving licence so buses and cycle rental is the my way around, I'm in Beverly Hills.

Are there any motor meets this weekend?, gutted as Pebble Beach is on but no car and too far away to cycle!.....ste.

Forgot my licence once last year as well.
Ended up being an interesting experience.
Took cabs everwhere and did a trip down to San Diego and back by train.

Still, did have its frustrating moments.

Made it to the Peterson museum in the end.
Back in the UK now, weather surprisingly similar.
