Moving to the states soon and have been dismayed at the cost of insurance. Seems I'm deemed to be a similar risk to a 16yr old who just got their licence! Despite an accident free driving record of 14 yrs and 5yrs no claim bonus.
Has anyone found a company that will give credit where it's due for an unblemished record like mine? Or failing that an insurance co. that doesn't want to charge me 1200 dollars for 6 months insurance on a 1.6 civic! (not that I'm going to get one- something with a V8 more like)

Amica Accept written proof from the UK and are quite reasonable.
Quoted me $1200 every 6 months on a 996 Turbo with written proof of NCB with full coverage.

Get written proof, ideally something from the DVLA showing 3-5 years clean license.

Get proof from insurers showing no at-fault accidents in the past 3-5 years.

NCB isn't really done over here, they are more worried about moving violations and accidents.
