Hi there wondered if any of you US PH'ers can help me out. Ill be in New York on the 25th May when the Monaco GP is showing and was wondering if it is shown live on US TV or if not where I could go in the city to watch it live on a screen. Ill be staying in the upper westside of manhattan but would travel anywhere possible within the city to see it, maily because its my gf's birthday and she is an F1 nut and hasnt missed a live race in over 10 years.

Thanks in advance.

Speed TV show all the F1 races. Check with your hotel. Broadcast time for Monaco will be around 7.00/8.00am, so you're going to be SOL if watching it in a sports bar is your plan.

Ive sent an email to the hotel to ask about speed tv, is it a ppv service or something thats generally easily available?

I was sure in a city like NY there would be somewhere sports bar'ish open on a morning from breakfast.

Speed is not PPV. DirecTV (satellite) carries it, as do most cable channels. Whether your hotel will is another matter - I was in DC from Wednesday until yesterday and had to wait until I got home to watch Turkey.

As I said in the other thread, you'd do better by posting on the Speed TV forums and asking there.

check out http://formula1.meetup.com/64/calendar/7922773/?fr... - there's a group getting together to view the race at The Australian.
