Howdy everyone,

I've now managed to relocate to Houston (slowly - the Griff and Roller will start their way across in a month or so). I asked a few of the guys in the office about local circuits and the like and for whatever reason, they didn't know of anywhere around here (they must be gay or something).

So, are there any good car groups around? Meets? Circuits to go blast round? Etc.

There are not many tracks real close to Houston, Houston Raceway Park is really just a drag strip but good fun.
Texas Motor Speedway hold a few track days a year but mainly through orgamised groups.
Try 6Speedonline Southwest region They have a lot of guys into track DE on there.

Also even though you don't have a Porsche joining Porsche Club America might be a good idea as they have a big trackday organised schedule too.

The drivers Edge.com have a Texas trackday schedule too.

Also a few of the high end dealers in Houston organise yearly track days too, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini & Mercedes for sure. Check their websites too.

Thanks Steve, I'll have a look at those tonight.

BTW: You've got a Ram 1500 - I was looking at one of those over the weekend. Are they really unstable with the huge lifts as I fancy one with something absurd like a 6 inch lift and 40 inch tyres smile

Not sure to be honest. Mine's a SLT 2wd. If ya want to lift your better off getting 4wd. The ones I've seen around look pretty stable, don't think we're talking landcruiser wobble lol
