I've been 'invited' to apply for a job as a QS in Canada - and wondered if any other Brits had made the move? Also it would be handy if anyone knew the QS or construction industry in general in the US/Canada - and how it differs?
setting out/site engineer also curious about similarities/differences in construction between UK/USA - my position doesn't seem to be so in demand in USA as here presently (?)...
Those I spoke to in the US (not directly in construction, but housing & housing surveys) didn't seem to understand the role of the QS. I know they do exist out there, as a few UK based QS consultancies have offices over there. Strange!
