Hi. I am hoping to return to Toronto in the next year or so. when I was last there, two years ago, the car insurance costs were huge. Have they reduced since and if not, how can a newcomer get reasonable insurance? I am 50 with a clean driving record.
Thanks

As I just mentioned in the other topic about moving to Canada, bring a copy of your clean UK licence and proof of UK NCB. My premium went from potentially $3k+ to less than $1k per year for full coverage as a new Canadian driver (I'd obtained my Canadian licence only a couple of days beforehand).

thanks thegreenhell...
In fact, I have stopped my UK insurance as my wife now has a car and I work from home. I thought of buying a car just to keep my insurance current as that should help me to get a cheaper quote in Canada...
