Cycling stores
Discussion
Hi All,
My in-laws are currently on holiday in the States and have asked what i want bringing back for my birthday prezzy!
Just wondering - are cycling goods particularly cheap over there? And if so, can anyone recommend any websites where i could get an idea on a price over there vs over here?
Quite fancy a Specialized helmet and guessed that with them being a US brand that they may be cheap.
Then again, exchange rate may suggest otherwise??

Check out performance bike...

I have used them for bikes, apparel and accessories..
Not overly cheap or expensive IMHO.
Gone are the days of CHEAP American goods.. Golf equipment has gone the same way.

I just bought some bog standard MTB wheels for my wife's bike and found the cheapest/best value was through Wiggle in the UK - cheaper than locally or online in the US. I still can't quite believe that it is cheaper to ship a set of wheels from the Uk than to buy them here, but it seems so...
I did the same for MTB wheels and road bike wheels. Wiggle without the 20% sales tax from the UK was way cheaper than buying here in Canada. And I didn't get stung with import duty and taxes either (although it would still be cheaper if I had had to pay them than the stores here). I still get pretty much all my bike stuff from the UK based suppliers (wiggle and CRC are both great for international orders).
