I am selling some parts from a scrap Daimler SP250 I have here in the US. Some parts are quite large and heavy to ship, eg the windscreen frame and doors. Has anyone any recommendations on economical shippers to use for such parts? I have used the USPS for some smaller parts to date, but how competitive etc are the likes of UPS, Fedex or others? Suggestions welcome please. I am in SC and someone is interested in the windscreen frame in WA, so it will be traveling across the country. Time is not an issue.

I also have someone interested in the complete bodyshell in the UK! The chassis is rusted out and its not on wheels, so to ship across to the UK with will probably have to be crated. Any suggestions on this? I live near Charleston, SC so I am close to a port and will call some local shipping companies.

Thanks

I shipped an E-Type hood frame to the UK and used MailBoxes Etc. It wasn't cheap, but at least they could do it.

As for a bodyshell I think the best solution is a crate. Anything less will be a disaster. Have the purchaser organize and pay for the container and let them carry all the risk and responsibility.
