US Apple Vouchers: Only work in the US!

Just been in Florida over Xmas and bought our kids a $15 iTunes voucher so they could buy some games etc for their Xmas gifts (they got ipod touch / ipad).
I had no idea that they do not redeem at all for a UK itunes account holder.
You would think Apple would just convert the amount to sterling at the prevailing rate and credit the itunes account.
But that is too difficult.
So, any US based PHers want to buy two x $15 itunes voucher codes?
On another note, I thought Bradenton/Anna Maria Island was a pretty decent place for a New Year getaway. Amazing weather for middle of winter.
And a Chevy Suburban is a hoot of an 8 seater!!
