The UK does not use the Euro, so if you have seen one in the UK it will be priced in pounds Sterling (GBP) - multiply by about 1.6 if you want a ballpark figure (your computer will have a calculator). This will make it a little more expensive. It also means that the steering wheel is on the "wrong" side for you here in the US. You will also find a number of hurdles for importing UK cars to the US if you search this section of the forum - I am not an expert on that. You will have to add local taxes and shipping will be a couple of thousand dollars most likely. All in all, not worth it for a low value car like the Evo. There are surely plenty for sale in the US for little money?
A few points worth looking at and thinking on:
1). Emissions. The US spec model is tuned quite differently, so a Euro one will need some work here. IIRC the US model has some additional emissional control equipment (I remember reading this on the US Evo forum, don't recall the details, could be a load of crap).
I also seem to recall that CT is one of the states that like to violate you anally for messing with emisions control stuff...
2). Import duty. Plus shipping and insurance. Don't forget to add these into the price.
3). Import approval(not sure of the term) - given the price, I suspect it isn't an Evo X, and the US and Euro model 8/9's are different, so you'd have to bring it in as a personal import, which as it isn't a US model, will be mildly fun - if they let you - and you won't get it in on show and display, as it isn't on the list.
4). Insurance. See 3 - not a US model, so this will be comedy. For a start, the US spec 8/9 has a rear anti intrusion beam that the insurance companies demanded just to reduce quotes. The Euro spec model doesn't, but does have the AYC, which the US doesn't....so no dealers are going to know what to do with it (as I understand it, the AYC differs between the 8/9 and the X, so the dealers may not even have a calibration tool that works). Quite a lot of the interior differs too, so insurers won't take it as a US model, and will factor in much higher costs for repair. And as previously mentioned, it's right hand drive, and this adds significantly to the cost of insurance; it's seen as 'odd' and thus a higher risk factor.
It may look cheap on the face of it, but as David says above, once you start to look at it, it'll start to make less sense.

well thank you guys u forced a light in my head to burn up brightly.
lol
well what i mean is that with a 10-14 grand car as a import with less then 50k miles is basically like buying a evo here in American with over 90k miles but since its already in America and all the parts have changed inside so the insurance cant mess with me with a higher rate. but the thing is i do have perfect insurance and have never been in a accident that was my fault but the hit and run a couple days ago since basically the person left the crime scene and so his insurance cant pay for it my insurance thinks they will so i said no so now there trying to saduce me into taking the money there giving. but my car is now fixed but im still looking for a evo but everything with a low miles is over 15k but i only have 10 grand with me and i dont like owning money.
once again thank you for letting me know that my insurance will screw me in the long run.
because that was one of the biggest questions in my mind
