Our neighbours have once again invited us to Thanksgiving dinner.
It's not as bad as it sounds as he and his wife are car owners to the tune of eight. Devout disciples of Chevroletsmile
Last year we took Canolis.
Couples of bottles of plonk? (that would require no shoppingsmile)

Do we have any real Americans here? Help me.

Let's try to keep the 2009 Mustang Calendar suggestions 'til after the event.

I've introduced my in-laws to the delights of bread sauce.

Which is good as MIL's turkey needs all the help it can get.

Pimms works a treat with my US neighbours and yes Yorkshire Puddings for Chrismas Day too! Chocolate Hob Hobs and Crunchies are also favourites. Thank God Publix has an 'Ethnic Isle'.

biggrin

IMO only the best turkey is acceptable, average is aweful.
My neighbours deep fry theirs, he was out there in his Dale Ernhart cooking apron and big white floppy chefs hat.
Initial conversation went;
15/40 ?...no... peanutsmile
But fancy dress is optional right.
Followed by his wife appearing from inside "if you are going to mess with the cook we're putting you back on the boat."

Yesterday was not only Thanksgiving it is also number one housefire day.
Simarly today know as Black Friday is also Malox day.

ETA and apparantly bad spelling day.
