Which is the best track? (from a spectator's perspective)

I'll let you define 'best', e.g. track more interesting than a standard oval, best for viewing the action, fastest, etc.

Spectating - Bristol TN - is probably the best for spectators, but it's a (short)oval.

Fastest - Daytona FL - Tri-oval stands are higher than at Talladega, so you can see the entire track from the top, so spectating's good here too. It has a distinct atmosphere about the place during the cup races, that isn't evident at the Rolex 24. Daytona (and twin, Talladega), need big crowds to make them come alive. I was at the Coke Zero 400 last weekend and the back stretch stands were completely empty - sign of the times, I guess. Again, an oval (of sorts)

Most interesting - Watkins Glen NY - Great, Brands Hatch-like track, lots of elevation changes and one of the USA's finest road courses. Cup teams usually field a few ringers for this race. You can't see the entire circuit from anywhere there, though.

Charlotte Motor Speedway is fun. Watkins Glen just because of its stunning location. Darlington SC is pretty good too.

I've only been to the one local to me and I thought it was pretty well excecuted. Chicagoland Speedway. It's not far from town either.
