RichardSix has been doing a brilliant job of promoting this show, which will be held at Redden Court School in Harold Wood next Saturday. We are fast approaching the day, so may I add a couple more details? I should say that I'm not one of the organisers, but will be there as an exhibitor with my TR6 on the TR Register stand.
The show will be signposted by the AA from the major roads around Harold Wood. If you are coming as an exhibitor, the normal entrance to Redden Court School in Cotswold Road is where you will be directed. However, if you are coming as a visitor, you will be directed to another entrance to the school grounds in Coombe Road. Sorry, I don't have postcode or map references but, if you use Google maps, you will be able to see what I mean.
The roads immediately around the school are going to have some temporary parking restrictions in place, but there will be plenty of on-road parking available a short walk away, should the on-site parking reach capacity. Most roads in Harold Wood tend to have resident parking bays and single yellow lines, but these are normally Mon to Fri only, but do check as you park, as our local council are very good on income generation from car owners.
There will be catering facilities available, plus such things as bouncy castles and model train rides, as well as other things for kids to do(Well,it is meant to be a fathers' day event after all!).
Some interesting cars likely to be there. Harold Wood Audi are expected to bring a R8 Le Mans car, together with a Quattro rally car. Allen Ford are expected to have a couple of cars from the Ford Heritage Centre, including a Model T and Escort rally car. I understand that the ex-Clarkson Ford GT will also be there. Applications for display car entries is now closed at 170.
Entry is £1 donation per person (kids under 5 free), and all profits are going to the London Air Ambulance. Show opens at 10am, so come along and support a worthy cause!
More details on the website that Richard has quoted above.
