Usually get my tyres fitted by etyres but they are charging £40 more per corner for Toyo 195/50 R16s than Camskill eek

My experience of local tyre fitters in the past has not been good (scuffs, knock on weights on the alloys, zipped up tight with air guns) and as the wheels I want the tyres changing on were refurbed last year and have polished rims I don't want them damaged.

The wheels won't be on the car if that makes a difference.

What's RSR Tyres on the A21 at Bromley Common like?

Sorry no experience with the company you mention.

But as you've looked at e-tyres and Camskill you might like to look at Event Tyres (www.event-tyres.co.uk)
I recently used them to fit two new rears to my car. Competitive price (even better with the car club discount of £5 a tyre) and they came and fitted at home. Fitter was clean, tidy and efficient and rang as agreed early in the morning to advise what time he'd be arriving.

I have always used watling tyres in swanley, admitedly its a little further away but when i was having SC3's on the astra they came out at the same price as camskill. Decent guys and service as well, can even stand in the shop and watch them do it.

I've used RSR a few times previously, and they've been fine. Stopped using them last year as they are no longer allowed to fit used tyres (I have a pile of old tyres in my garage for trackdays) after being taken over by another company.

I've used Southlands Tyres for fitting tyres twice this year, and they've been excellent so far. Cheaper than RSR, always very careful with my wheels (not a single scuff on them), wheels are properly balanced, and they know where all the jacking points on the Elise are. Never bought tyres off them, so can't comment on that side of things. Link here: http://www.yell.com/b/Southlands+Tyres-Tyres-Broml...

Very useful stuff guys, thanks!

Camskill are the cheapest I can find, but event are only £15 per tyre more and of course that includes fitting, balancing, etc., which usually seems to be a tenner a pop.

Think I might give them a try, thanks!

If you don't mind a little drive. Dartford Tyres on the Crayford road just outside Bexleyheath are mustard. Little out door operation, but they are so careful with your wheels. I have all my road and track tyres done by them, excellent service and competetive prices.

If you mean Dartford Tyres 2000 I'll second that or if you don't want to travel quite so far then SETyres Powerscroft Rd, Crittals corner are good and keenly priced.
