43 in a 30. (new to area)

"Did you know you were doing 43?"
"Yes"
"This is a 30"
"Oh"
"That'll be £60 and 3pts please"

FFS - I'm new to the area and looking out for actual dangers, like other cars, bikes and people, I miss a 30mph sign and another 3pts get added. At this rate there will be one less responsible driver on the road (no accidents in 15 years)

6 mountain bikes stolen in teenage years, all stamped and reported to police, none ever found
1 locked car, broken into and stolen, never found
Pick pocketed on train, gave good desc of thief running away, police never found thief
Locker broken into at gym, £55 cash stolen (many lockers done), CCTV had suspects, gym says police never found thief.

Have plenty of crime reference numbers though, good to see my council tax police bill is producing something eh!

Rant over... pfff!

Pay more attention next time, if you can miss a 30 sign you could miss ME when I cross the road.

True, if you act like a tall, thin, inanimate grey object with a small metallic circular sign nailed to you, then yes, there is a small chance you may be off my radar, especially when I am looking out for bikes turning, cars braking and people running across roads. smile

Cheers. Officer was a biker, said he appreciated why the concentration in the Atom was focused more on the road ahead than speed, still booked me. frown

So even if you'd have been in a 40zone you'd have been over the limit?

What are you moaning about, just take it like a man!

Well given a choice I'd rather my local police tackle crime with actual victims as opposed to someone travelling slightly quicker than a town planner decided was appropriate...

Suprised they got a lock on if you were in the atom! More stealth paint required wink
