All around the lanes of north Kent started from a great pub The Sun at Bredgar finished 8th out of 14 even though we didnt even know what it was we were turning up to really , so proud of my son who did all the plots created a route and then got us round on time.
Thanks to Andy of the Sevenoaks Motor club for all the organisation and encouragement.
An Mx5 roof down on muddy lanes in the fog is the biggest laugh ever cant stop grinning need to buy a new map and a map light though !

We started in The Sun Pub, were given an answer sheet and at precisely 8pm a series of "clues" they could be map references to 8 places (some reversed )or a sequence of directions across a grid square on an OS map or a junction by road colours in a grid square . So first you had to plot the points on your map then the navigator selects a route and off you go collecting answers from little stickers put out beforehand in specified places like "hinge side of 5 bar gate " or even "scabby looking pole!" at the various locations . Myself and son knew none of this beforehand but the organisers were very helpful explaining how to plot the points and plan the route and even though we made mistakes and had a near vertical learning curve we had a brilliant time. Then you need to get back to the pub by a specified time and if your late there are penalties.
we were very conservative on time getting back 17 minutes early but we would have had to find 4 more answers to make a difference to our result anyway .
And those lanes in the fog with the roof down were sooo slippery but such fun!
I would reccomend it a great bunch of people having a fun time in cars!
