Slippery roads last night
Discussion
Was it my tyres/setup, or was the road exceptionally slippery last night (Monday) ?
Went from Shenfield to Basildon about 9pm and back at 10pm.
Car felt like it was on ice, I could feel the front end squirming more than usual with camber changes, power oversteer at will without really trying, and ALB came on just pulling up to a roundabout with a little extra braking effort due to a mildly late decision to stop due to Mr No Indicators. Wasn't an emergency stop by any means just that little extra squeeze of the pedal IYKWIM as I half expected him to go round but hedged my bets in the name of making progress.
Road didn't seem icy, it didn't feel cold enough, maybe just slicked up with a few weeks worth of crap, damp conditions and cool enough make it nasty.
Just wanted to check if others found it, or if I need to seriously consider new tyres (they're not over-worn I even drove ok in snow with them a couple of weeks back) or a geometry check.
