Went through the variable speed camera section of the M25 just after the Dartford Bridge heading clockwise and was pretty sure I saw some kind of camera mounted in the gantry. There was no speed or national speed limit symbol displayed on the gantry. I went through at fair lick having been stuck before the bridge and was just wandering if anyone had any info on these or the likelihood ive been got.
Are these live if no speed be it NSL or lower is displayed?
many thanks.

They were active when they where working around j3 doing the new slips and speed limit was 50 (about 1yr ago) but I use that bit of road 2 or 3 times a day and stick to the 70 limit wink but get overtaken by others doing in excess of 100. I've not been ticketed, but then I wouldn't at the speed limit would I wink;)

There are markings on the road and cameras on some of the gantrys so im not taking any chances and staying under 75mph.

Are the average speed cameras operating on the actual bridge itself yet ? - 50mph across that. Many/most drivers are still doing 70mph plus.

My Roadangel now flags that gantry up as a variable speed camera site so it can't be long!

I note that on the Southern approach to the tunnel the "camera not functioning" signs have now gone, but the cameras are still there, so have been keeping to the speed limit on the tunnel approach. Anyone know any different?
