"New" Road Surface M25 J27 to J28

Now that the four lanes are open, I was assuming that the works would be finished here. But they can't be with road surface can they? It's really badly patched up between the new and old.

Surely they must be going to finish the job off properly, but then the time to do that was at the end while they had all the road coned off.

Is this the new austerity Britain?

Yes I was amazed at the great new surface as well. Pot holes still there in places and what genius decided to join the new to the old a third of the way into the lane, right where the tyres run? It's a joke and one of the reasons we tend to head down the M20 and into mainland Europe for car trips these days. I do more than my share of pot hole dodging and sitting about in my daily driver.

Of course when it falls apart by next spring it will be because of a harsh winter again and nothing to do with the bodge job
