I heard that a VW and an MGB went miising from that show. I've been to one show there and was put in the public car park because I didn't know you had to pre-register. Don't like leaving the car.
A TR went missing from the Enfield Pageant last year and I think something got stolen this year.
When we parked up in the show area at an event last sunday other owners said to put your steering locks/ immobilisers on the cars.
Do you think the cars are being used for parts or simply and easily cloned?

Cars of this age must be a doddle for a reasonable car thief to take - unless they have been fitted with a modern alarm/immobiliser. Even then they would still be easier than a modern car with a factory fitted alarm system.
My guess is that these cars were taken to be either sold/kept in Europe or to be parted out to an ongoing restoration project where the serial numbers would be lost in the 'new' car.
I doubt if these cars could be sold/used in the UK without the owner getting wind of it.

I heard you lost it, but then found it again!

Seriously it does put you off taking the toys to these events.
