A13 A127 Junction - Lakeside - Mobile Cam

Did anyone see this today? it was on the westbound slip road at the top of the hill where you exit for lakeside and go onto the roundabout with one exit....

reason i ask is that i suppose you could say i was caining it up the hill a bit and as i came over the brow of the hill was greeted with the lovely site of a van with two cameras poking out the back right at me...

what is strange though is that the speed limit there is national and i was braking for the roundabout when i came into it's field of view (albeit immediately before i was doing 90 up the slip road - yes i know i am an idiot). strange location to catch speeders as they are natually slowing down...? And the vehicle said air support unit on the side...?

a few yards on was a police car and they didnt pull me....

no idea what was happening there - maybe the cameras were looking for tax dodgers..?

commmon place for catching tax dodgers rather than speeders.

Noticed them there this morning at 9am. They have been there a few times on recent saturdays often with a police mistubishi evo

Essex Police Traffic just collects fines from tax dodgers but never turn up to deal with the 100+ cars that gather there on a Friday and Saturday night to race around until the early hours making the area a no go zone for Joe Public.
