Just a slim possibility but worth a try.

Just after 5:30pm Sunday 17th Jan I turned onto Charing Hill en route to Canterbury, nice bit of A road, 60 limit. Saw something up the hill and otherwise clear road. Car coming towards me so on dipped beam only to discover about 20 matured cut birch tree trunks scattered accross the whole of the road !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hit them and my XKR is badly hurt. In spite of jumping out to warn traffic and call the cops I was unable to stop a biker taking flying lessons and several other cars hit the debris. Awaiting to hear if my car is a write off and looking at big bill because the culprit who dropped the logs is "unknown"

Should any Pistonheaders hear anything regarding the culprit I would be delighted to hear. Little chance of the Police finding truck driver without help frown
Thanks Richard

Sorry to hear about your missfortune, it's annoying when one persons laziness causes grief to the many

Sorry to hear that. A few years back I hit an object that had been dropped on the A13. Going around it wasnt an option and stopping in time may not have been posible (70mph section), would have lowered the car further and would likely have caused accidents behind me. It was touch and go if the car would clear it or not. It did until the object rolled over. I broke the engine mounts and exhaust. It missed the sump though. If it had stayed in position the car would have passed over ok. Lost my ncb etc as the culprit couldnt be traced.
