I fancy having a bit of a go at a few powerslides and donuts etc in my kit car, but I don't know of any suitable areas around me in which I can do this. I don't really fancy stuffing it into the middle of a roundabout!

Does anyone know any big open spaces in the Witham/Chelmsford area where one can this type of thing? I guess carparks are generally frowned upon...?!

TIA smile

Get yourself on a Car Limits day at North Weald airfield.

Loads of room & someone there to teach you how react when you reach the limit of traction.

That sounds like it could be good! I had a look on the north weald airfield website though and there's no mention of it, is there any more info anywhere?

Otherwise Tesco carparks it is!

Ah, that looks pretty good, but £200 is a bit rich for my blood! I'd like to think I'm not too bad at most aspects of brisk driving anyway, having been on a dozen or so trackdays, but you don't really get to slide around properly on track, which is the thing I'd like to try!

Maybe some kind of run what you brung skidpan day is what I'm after...

Car limits is exactly what your after...

I did one last month - Sunday 'activity day for all' - It cost £45 and was a fantastic day.

The next day doesnt look to be posted on their website at the moment, could always try giving them a call.

Just spotted these replies - thanks smile

£48 seems more in my range! What do you actually do during the day though?
