Its nearly Christmas but you can escape that for a few hours and meet up at the Lodge at South Woodham Ferrers with a few like minded car enthusiasts. We have had some excellent turn outs recently and plenty of first timers. So put the date in your diary Thursday 17th December
There is good quality economically priced food and plenty of parking space. The link below provides directions. There are generally folks there from about 7:15pm.

AdamD told me about this today.
As I work in the City I don't get home until around 8. I may try and pop down as soon as I get in, but can't promise as the trains have been shocking the last few weeks!

Was going to be in Wales, but now thankfully not (at least not on Thursday...) so will be making an appearance, along with my filthy car.

Lodge burger with cranberry sauce anyone?

Steve & I have bailed out. We were already to go then the snow started to settle and it looked a little foolhardy. Sorry chaps - I was really looking forward to it.

Only four of us tonight. But for those who couldnt make it ,it was probably the right call. Snow is settling but the blizzrd conditions are making visibility really difficult on the unlight roads around the Lodge.

Have a great Christmas every body and a good break. See you all next year.

A nice night if you could get parked!!, amazing amount of cars were there, the pub was packed out with punters for xmas meals.
Then there was poor Ken standing all on his own ,proberly wondering 'where was everybody',anyhow ,Adam and Myself managed it, I think Ken was quite relieved that someone was there he knew.
To be honest Andy, you made the right decision mate,Ken struggled home, Adam found it hard going, and I was glad I had some 'ESP'on the car, just made it up Rettendon Hill along with a flashing esp light to tell me 'No Grip Guv'nor'.
Thankfully we all made safely back,Have a nice Christmas to one and all,and we will see you next month (well some of you).

Cheers All
seasons Greetings and all that

Indeed I thought the bulb for the Stablity/Traction control was going to wear itself out at I limped home. I had to idle down my road and ABS did more harm than good if I even thought about using the brakes! Scary stuff!

So does anyone know a big empty car park today ;o)

Sorry for bailing, but I thought I' err on the side of caution as the weather was looking particularly foul by the time I got home from work.

The journey from Billericay to Dagenham was rather interesting this morning. Plenty of sideways action, and I'm not sure the grin will disappear for a good few hours.

Drive safely everyone, have a great Christmas - and hope to see you all at the Lodge in January.
