Hi all,

I'm away on training for a week at Dungeness at the end of the month and will be stopping in Rye for the week (it was a choice of Rye or Ashford!).

Can anyone recommend any good places to eat of an evening in Rye?

Thanks!

The fish and chip place, cant remember the damn name, nearby is well worth a meal. We drive over from St Leonards every now and then. Cant beat a pint with fish and chips.. smile

Maggies Fish and Chips in Hastings is meant to be amazing, its a Restaurant rather than take away chippy and by all accounts booking is worthwhile (maybe less so at this time of year!) . I've been meaning to go for ages

Best fish and chips in Hastings is Oceans Eleven near the old MFI, was recommended by locals as well!!

In reply to the OP, the George Hotel in Rye is worth a try.
Also the Woolpack, on the road between Rye and Dungeness, is worth a look - steaks were pretty good.

Thanks everyone...

I experienced the following on my 5 night stay in Rye

Simply Italian (Twice)
Simply Spice (Just the once)
Some Indian in New Romney
Some Pud in Old Romney lol.

Stopped off on my drive home for Indian number 3 in Towcester near Silverstone!
