Well as the title really; the story goes I purchased a Renault Clio 200 I was due to pick it up on Saturday, I work in tunbridge wells at Vauxhall and was buying a car from ashford motorline, the salesman was well aware of the time and journey I had to take to get there.
I finished work at 5 and drove to motorline, I got there at 5:55 and said sorry I was a little late and was told by the salesman: "I am not doing your handover because I'm not staying and no one else will" this was after I just had an hours drive stuck in traffic, you can imagine my expression and feelings.

I can't belive the customer service, if I said that to one of my customers, I would be fired for it. Because of this I am contemplating cancelling the car.

seriously tell them to go and stuff it up there arse. If some jumped up little prick can't be bothered to complete on that deal when you had phoned etcetc they do not deserve your money. Makes me so mad things like this. it would have taken 15mins if he had got everything prepped.

Pricks.

I fear he has fallen into the catagory of "superprick".

Cancel it, buy one else where, visit the show room in your new car and inform him of his status of "superprick". If the world where a fairer place you should be allowed to slap him.

pulling generalisations here, but if it had been a polish bloke/dealership it would have never of happened. Unacceptable.

God forbid you had a problem with the motor....

That's frankly outrageous!

Well, at least it's not like the car industry's on it's arse and struggling to sell cars or anything. I would tell the dealer principal in no uncertain terms why you're no longer buying a car from them. There are other dealerships out there that will bend over backwards to accommodate you.

As others have said; if this is how bad they are when selling the car, what on earth will they be like if you have any problems with it...?

Thanks Funk, i am going to inform the DP, aswell as Renault CS, as i have always had good results with RCS, and the dealers do fear them.

If it was to have any faults i would be shocked, before this i had a r27 clio and that was well used and lasted 100% brill car

This sort of piss poor service should not go unreported. I don't think a letter un Renault UK would go amiss either!

No way would they be getting my money after that. They would need to do some serious backside licking if they where.

He works for Renault UK and has always taken an interest in the service levels dealers give their customers and prospective customers.
