Yes they stated a while back that it would be back to 40 and the scamera would be in action again.
Wouldn't surprise me if the entire A127 has the ave speed camera and down to 50mph before too long.
Probably only a matter of time, although you don't seem to hear as many probs with the FOW to the M25... guess it's just selective reporting though!Wouldn't surprise me if the entire A127 has the ave speed camera and down to 50mph before too long.

I'm guessing they will be going live soon - I saw a scamera man up a ladder sorting the scamera out today!
I've often wondered... do these Scamera "people" tell their familys what they do for a living, if they do, I wonder how the family deals with the shame???!!!
thought the same thing earlier in the week when I saw a guy servicing one of the traffic light scameras in Chelmsford.I've often wondered... do these Scamera "people" tell their familys what they do for a living, if they do, I wonder how the family deals with the shame???!!!
Maybe a daft question.
But why were the cameras out of action for the best part of a year?
They weren't repositioned were they? And if they were, why take so long?
Had heard a story that they would be removed once the specs were working from the Wickford junction. But don't see what difference this has on them, surely they're there to make sure everyone slows from 70 for the rbt.
Sorry for the rambling post.

The Fixed GATSO's at the FOW were put there because when they did some work at the centre they also relayed the surface. They said the new surface was, and i quote "slippery for a few months" thats why they were brought in. They only had a temporary license and its taken a long time for the bd council to get a permanent licence stating a reduction of incidences, most likely.
A young work colleague of mine recently got snapped by the one london bound. He said he was doing at least 70 and has not received anything.

This is only a wacky suggestion............Perhaps if they had laid a more suitable road surface in the first place i.e a non slippery one!!
They would not have had a need to put the revenue making camera's up!
I mean c'mon… it's NOT rocket science!!!!
Just think… these Muppets are in charge of running our country!!
