Chipped glass table.
Discussion
My son chipped our dining table. I rang around a few glass merchants and got a price which was about the same as buying another one from Habitat where we bought it. In the end we decided not to bother as the damage was only slight and 2 years later it's still OK.
Why not just try ringing a local glass merchant? When I tried they'd all quote me, but some were a lot (50%!) more than others.
