Morning all,

Do any of you know of any garages / warehouse space / barn space being offered for rent?

I am looking at helping a familly friend restore his Alfa 105 (me soing the spanner work, him doing the money...)

I am in need of somewhere to keep it, prefereably in the Medway towns area so that it is local to me.

Should anyone know of anything, please let me know as this is something I would love to get my teeth into (it would get me a 50/50 stake in it aswell....)

Many thanks

If you go down Clover St by the side of the Sorting Office then there are some down there, with a sign up outside about renting. A mate rents onein Rochester which is a block in a secure compound, I'll find out more.

Do any of you guys fancy clubbing together and renting a decent size garage/shed/whatever that has room for a few cars? I could do with finding somewhere under cover to keep my old Lotus while I muck around with it but renting a single garage is a non starter as there's never any electric or running water or, come to think of it, room to walk round the bloody thing.

I keep looking at small units for exactly the same thing. Loads of tools but no bl00dy room in the garage for the car. More than happy to look at something with others.

Let me think about this one over the next couple of weeks ,(moving home next week and just finished divorce wink ) .

I maybe able to help

if you look on my profile click on my website idea i have all the equipment , know how and space you could want for , fully insured , loads of parking , ramps to lift all type of vehicles , mot station next door (my dads) .

My line of work has become more and more detailing which means i can really only detail from 1-3 cars a week at the most and the rest of the workshop is going to waist along with the diagnostic machines and tools , i also work at the moment (for last 5 years ) 7 days a week to very late .

I just need to think of logistics but could be very good , even right next to train station , and taxi rank , internet access , PS3 TV , chip shop round the corner laugh that must cover most things for a petrolhead wink

I will give it some hard thought

Kelly sounds good. I've loads of kit but no space!
On another point interested in doing an open Saturday for the South East London North Kent Independent Porsche club?
I've asked Lepsons next door to you but they haven't replied!

How strange just had a phone call from the owner of lepsons about going out in town tonight , when i look through this thread to find this smile

So read it out to him , both would love to do that , the only concern from the lepsons owner is there are so many new alloy wheel refurb companies opening up etc that he would be slightly worried who walked around his factory if you get what he means .

He has invested £500000 in the last couple of years on the latest plant for his process with lepsons being the first to use such machinery .

I know he lets me show my customers around his factory as i know who and what they do for a living .

We have no problem with parking up loads of nice porsche's in the large car park , setting up his display show stands in there vehicle bay and my workshop and speaking to his staff about what and how etc for wheels , and i am far my laid back thou and can come into my workshop and maybe even set up a demo car for detail machine correction if you like .

If you did not know lepsons have a tyre company on the same estate too so well covered for all things car related biggrin

If you have not seen some of my work have a look here

So now need to arrange some dates for your little meet thumbup

Kelly this is great, I'll PM my mail address so we don't clutter up the forum. I knew you were near Lepsons from one of my members.
