thought this may be of intrest to some of you guys.
The main gates open at 8.30am.
Entry into the event is £10 for adults, under 14's are free.
The track fee is a further £20 and you get as many runs as you can make during the day.
Signing on starts 9am, with a capacity of 200 racers. Racing starts at approx 10am until 5pm.
When you sign on your will be given a safety sheet outlining a few do's and don't for our events. There will also be a rider/driver safety briefing over the PA system before we start. For more information read our safety policy.
On your run follow the race marshall's instructions and make your way to the start line.
You will see a 'christmas tree' starting system in front of you. Infra-red beams will enable you to get your starting position. Wait for the starter to give you a green light on the tree and then...Give it some!
At the finish line follow the signs to the return road and make your way slowly back to the start area. At the exit gate you will be given your timing ticket for your run.
You can then make your way back to the queue and run again.
All Drivers must wear crash helmets.
May see you over there if the weather nice, look out for a purple chim.

What an excellent day!
The only downside was it got a little too hot and I ended up getting sun burn!
I'd like to have seen more but the queue onto the strip meant your in the car for most of it. I managed 6 runs in total and only two of those went right due to my lack of driving skills. I'm not too keen to overload the car off the line so no hard starts for me.
My best time of the day was 11.6 at 132.
I really recommend this to anyone who likes a good excuse to give their car some stick and want to find out what the motor can do. The surface wasn't bad if you had sticky tyres and the timimg gear supplied by the straightliners lot worked flawlessly.
For all those wanabe drag racers who find the trip to santapod a stretch to far this is a good alternative, if a little busy.
