My names Simon and i live in Germany and Sittingbourne Kent. The reason for this is i'm in the Army. Anyone around the area may have seen my car, which is an Astra VXR Nurburgring, tuned by Thorney Motorsport, ready for the Nurburgring in September. Currently pushing out (as at January) 280BHP/320Ft/Lb. It's been my first turbo'd car and i'm definately not going back to N/A unless it's in a lightweight body lol.

Well, i hope to have a good experience on the forum, have always browsed it as a guest and decided the time had come to join lol. For those who are wondering, i'm also on VXRonline under the same username.

Still just the remap and intercooler, last time it was on the rollers it was 277bhp and 345lbs/ft

Might invest in a CAIS soon to get better air flow into the turbo. You got any more plans yet?

Been looking at a Proalloy i/c purely to stop the Ecu retarding.. In this heat, i can only get to about 140mph, intake temps are waaay too high frown

Got some Yellowstuff pads comming soon as well.

Sounds good mate, i'm sure the intercooler will make a good difference, mine holds boost much better now. I'm really gonna have to find a place where i can do a top speed run

We will probably camp out for the duration, we have tentage/bashas and sleeping bags, gas stoves etc. I have a box of 12 Army Ration packs for food. I can help with the fuel situation in regards to cost. There is an Aral Station right out the front of the ring.

All in all, Germany based were looking at £150. So you would be looking at about £200 for ferries etc.

Hi Simon,
I think I have seen you about once or twice, its not often you get to see a 'burg Astra around here!

You may see me every now and then, punting about in my mighty white 1.1 106... wighed down by half a ton of bird crap! Hopefully have my better car back on the road for a lil bit this summer funds allowing, a rather noisy dark blue 5 pot fiat bravo! you will hear me before seeing me as aparently i can be heard coming across the sheppey crossing to my mates place in Kemsley!

We should organise a bit of a mini meet locally

Would be good mate, there is a FFSTOC Kent drive on the 14th June, i want to attend, but doubt i'll be able to due to current military commitments frown So Andy has said about having another meet put together, more news to follow!
