I can vouch for the food/beer/pub/landlord/location although I don't get out there often enough.

Harry - could I suggest a pre Le Mans BBQ/Hog Roast on Wednesday 10th June - it's the night when a lot of PH'ers overnight it in Ashford prior to the dash southwards - and get exposed to some of the dubious local offerings (we're talking food). I'm sure the uptake would be good and could be the kick-start for a regular meet - let me know.

Best to apply the standard PH factor 10 correction formula - 5000 expressions of interest > 500 firm promises > 50 turn up > 5 have got the money to pay at the end of the evening.

But seriously, Wedneday's a big night for stop-overs. The Travel Lodge car park was packed with Porkers, Caterhams, TVRs, Nobles etc last year and most of the poor buggers were heading over to Burger King for dinner. I reckon you should attract 50-75 bods, add in a quiz and a few other bits and pieces and maybe 100. I'm in Aldington - perhaps I should pop over for a bottle of Magners and a chat in the next couple of days...
