For those that use the Dartford bridge from time to time, please note that there are now average speed cameras on the bridge. They have been installed to stop accidents, odd then how, as someone that uses it more than most, I have only ever seen accidents in the pointless q's where you would be happy to do 20mph let alone 50mph

I have never seen an accident on the bridge or the tunnels. Upping the toll to £1.50 must not be enough for these jokers.

There has been talk of this happening for some time but the police kent and essex police could nto agree how to split the revenue, seems a joke as you cant speed over the bloody thing as since they have put the money up (this angers me as the bridge was supposed to be free once it was paid for, but thats a different subject) the queue seems to always bee back to JCT 30 anyway.

No, the ones on the bridge went up last week. There are signs up now saying 'cameras not in use'

Also noticed they have speced th eroad to Benfleet as well. No doubt the nsl will be reduced to an unreasonable limit

I know the 127 has been done, is the A13 being done as well?! Are they planning on doing all the roads ie A12 etc?

No not the A13. The A130 from salders farm roundabout to benfleet.

Just read an article my wife pulled out of yesterdays metro. As early as next year we could see the most widespread change in limits since 1978. 2/3 of limits are expected to be cut - backed up by specs of course

I wonder if they'll spend any of their ill gotten gains on actually mending the roads? It's diabolical between where I live and Basildon and they seem to be just ignoring all the potholes.

Drove over there on Friday - however I say drove - I spent more time watching the temperature gauge as we would have been much quicker walking.

Why don't they just charge double on one side and let the other side flow freely.

St Nicholas Lane is a right mess, I have to drive up that every day.

Deduct half the operatin costs first, as they'll only have one set of tolls to run. So I reckon about £2 one way only would be better...

Was called out to Benfleet over the weekend. The a130 is speced up all the way from the sadlers farm roundabout and the limit has been cut to 50 mph. Some by pass that has become!

They are also blocking off and kerbing along all the parking laybys - that fits well with the gov's don't drive tierd campaign. Amazing they have the resources to do that and yet the other end of the a130 north of Chelmsford has fallen apart. But hey it's speed and parking laybys that kill not unsurfaced nsl roads
