We're off on a road trip to Luxembourg in May & because of the early train we thought about booking a hotel somewhere near the Tunnel.

Anybody know of a (not too expensive) hotel in the vicinity with secure parking?

Thanks.

I can't think of any. Most people stay at the hotel just off jct 10 of the M20. It's a couple of jcts before eurostar and is right next to the m20 in a retail park consisting of fast food, hotel and night club. there's the bridgewood manor around the corner from me that's about 20-30 mins from tunnel (m2 jct 3) and has it's own car park

Thanks, I've stopped at the one off the M20 in the past, I'm just thinking if we're taking the Vette to Europe, the last thing I need is an "Incident" before I even make the tunnel..rolleyes

You referring to Junction 9, Eureka Leisure Park? It's not what I'd call secure but there is plenty of parking.

Eastwell Manor is 5 mins away from that leisure park and motorway junction, and has fairly secure parking.

There is also a Travel Inn at the Maidstone services at junction 8, about 35 - 40 mins from the tunnel.

Junction 9 the Ashford International has a barriered car park. Would probably stop it getting nicked but like most car parks there is pedestrian access. I do not know of any with fully enclosed eg under ground car parks. There are loads of Hotels around the area, using one a little further from the M20 will get you out into the villages which have a very good reputation for little crime so secure parking is not usually needed. Go somewhere like Elvey Farm (between J8 and 9 ) and you will be lucky to see any other cars other than residents let alone worry about car theft.

I can offer a secure drive way in a quiet cul-de-sac 5minutes from the Bridgewood Manor.

Thanks for the offer, we've now booked in at Elvey Farm as I've realised we need to be on the train for 7:30 AM frown, That's going to hurt as I'm definitely not a morning person.
