As nothing seems to be organised near me, (I live on the Kent / Surrey border) I have organised a meet at a great pub near Westerham / Oxted / Caterham. The venue will be the Botley Hill Farm pub at the top of Titsey Hill, Woldingham. The landlord is keen for it to happen and is a car nut. The car park is huge and the food good. We will wait until the new year and the nights not so miserable before going ahead, and it will be a regular Wednesday or Thursday every month if enough interest. Weekends are out as the pub is very popular, but should have parking for 80 cars easily. Who would be interested in attending a meet there?

If it were weekends then I (and I assume a few other Essex people) would be able to pop down from time to time perhaps, on a weeknight Kent is a bit far for me.

I'd be up for it, the Essex meet is a little bit of a trek for me, but this would be a lot more local

Finally a meet near me.

Im defo down for this, keep us updated.

Any day apart from Thursday is good for me.

The Grasshoper in Westerham is also good for meets (car club friendly) if Botley doesn't go ahead for some reason.

Good point, but the Grasshopper's problem is the cars have to be parked 100yds from the pub, you may as well park in a field. Many car clubs use it already, many a time i have passed 30 Vauxhall Astra's neatly in a line with their bonnets up....
The Botley is a bit more intimate, and good food and beer. Also hopefully it will attract more cars from London PH'ers as it is a dead straight road into Croydon. Plus it will be unique as it has never been done at that pub before. I have a feeling ssome seriously quality cars will turn up, Oxted and Woldingham have more Aston Martins and Ferrari's tucked away than any other towns I know!

What do people think about changing the location of the Essex meet once in a while? The Lodge is nice, and has a good car park with cheap food, but maybe somewhere else could be good for a change?

I like Botley and can vouch for the food.

Where abouts are you based?

Red Lane in Oxted. I am hoping to attract a few of the locals from round here, not PH'ers that i know of, but i will ask them personally to come along. There is some serious metal around here! Locals have a Delorean, F40, R500's, NSX, Noble, Elan, every Aston you can think of including a bond DB5,Daytona, GT3, Caterhams, Diablo, Gallardo, Murcialago, Clio V6, 5 Turbo2 .... and they are just the ones off the top of my head!

I know of a few people that aren't on here that would prob come along.

Nothing quite so prestige as those you have listed but a couple of Subaru's, an R33 Skyline and a couple of kit cars to name a few.

Should be a good turn-out at this rate.
